FAQ
Q: What size are the booths?
A: Our single booths are standard 10' x 10' size, double are 10' x 20' and so on. If you are being offered an unusual size booth we will talk to you about it prior to doing your contract.
Q: What is included with my booth?
A: Your booth fee includes your booth space with pipe and drape. Your rent includes electricity hookup and a booth sign. You may rent tables and chairs for an extra fee.
Q: Can I request an end-cap or an island?
A: You can request one. Availability is limited and it will be on a first come first serve basis. You can request this on your reservation form- an "end cap" means ONE of your 10' walls will be open to an aisle.
What Does My Insurance Certificate of Liability Need to Say?
Your insurance certificate of liability is required before you can set up your booth. It protects both you and us. Your insurance agent should be able to issue this on your behalf. If you don't have business insurance, contact us for suggested short term policy info.
Below is a photo of EXACTLY how the policy needs to read. It cannot be even slightly different. PLEASE make sure your insurance agent has this information. Make sure the show name reads correctly for the show you're issuing it for (ie: The NE Ohio Quilt Show, The Vermont Quilt Show etc)

What to know...
We strive to offer a diverse class list, covering varied topics and techniques. We try not to repeat any classes that are taught at other large area shows (close to where our show is). It just helps everyone to not have a lot of the same classes being taught in a similar area.
After a lot of feedback from students, we will be focusing on 3-hour half day classes. We are unable to offer after-hours classes.
Some things to consider- our students tend to be beginner to intermediate, although we do have some students interested in more advanced projects. Technique classes do well, and students prefer a class that is project-based, so that they come away with something tangible. Obviously in a half day class you're not finishing a whole quilt, but students seemed happier if they could finish a block in class, or at least feel confident enough to finish the piece at home.
Kit fees are fine, but we do notice classes with higher cost kits, especially ones that use rulers that are specific to this project only, don't do well. Also, students appreciated if there were specific items on a supply list that they were either kitted or available for purchase in class. Our students do tend to be more budget-conscious, and we've noticed classes that utilize scraps or small cuts of fabric do very well. Classes of all varieties from traditional to modern, mixed media to wholecloth are well attended! For machine classes, we do have sewing machines provided in the classroom.
We offer one-hour lecture slots, so feel free to submit for a lecture as well.
Please Note: We do not reimburse for travel as a separate expense, so be sure to roll in travel, hotel etc to your class fee. You can request either a flat fee or a per-student fee. We limit the classes to 24 students, but can adjust that number if needed. You can charge a separate kit fee and either have us collect it, or choose to collect it in class.
