About the event
Students will learn how to create prints using Cyanotype paper. Exploring the traditional method using UV indoor light boxes. Cyanotypes are one of the first forms of sun-print photography and, in my opinion, the most magical. Cyanotypes ask us to pause and look closer at those everyday things differently and up close, capturing those finite little details.
Students will also have a chance to explore card making or quilt pattern making on paper in the last hour. Using scraps, we can cut and explore with the cyanotypes. Students will have the opportunity to take some pieces home to explore more.
This course will cover:
-The History & basics of Cyanotypes
-How to use basic set ups for indoor and outdoor photography without a darkroom.
-Fun ways to document old photos or garden plants using Cyanotypes.
Kit fee: $15 and includes 6 pieces of paper, 2 pre-coated papers, dark envelope for light blocking * Kit fee has been added to your ticket price below
