Star of Noel with Studio 180 Rulers

Get a start on Christmas while learning how to make Half Square Triangles that aren’t distorted and Flying Geese without wonky wings! In this class you will learn how to use the rulers to create oversized units that are trimmed to the exact size needed in any pattern, focusing on piecing accuracy, as well as learning  the Four at a Time Flying Geese method. We will be using the two most popular Studio 180 Rulers, Wing Clipper I and Tucker Trimmer I, to create precise piecing every time! These rulers will become your new favorite tools that can be used on most quilt patterns.

- Fabric Requirements

                if supplying your own fabric (not purchasing kit):

                -Background cream/white – 1 1/4 yds

                -Red – 1 1/3 yds for piecing and border

                -Medium/Dark Greens – minimum of (2) 10” squares or fat eighths for tree HST units

                -Brown – 5” square for tree trunk

                -Binding – 1/3 yd

-Basic quilting supplies:

            -scissors

             -seam ripper

             -sewing pins

             -rotary cutter and mat

             -pen or marking tool for making lines on fabric

             -thread

               any other tools or supplies you like to quilt with
