This pattern by Raija Salomaa of Quilter’s Treasure Chest has its roots in the elegant yet simplistic designs found in Scandinavia. Strip sets and hourglass blocks combine to give a lovely minimalistic look that looks much more difficult than it actually is. We will be working on the lap size quilt in class and all you need is your Tucker Trimmer 1.

Class Supplies Needed: 

• Scandinavian Simplicity pattern

•Studio 180 Tucker Trimmer 1

• Quilter’s Magic Wand suggested but not required

• Invisi-Grip recommended for back of tools Additional cutting will be required to complete the quilt (borders and binding).

• 6” x 12” and/or 6” x 24” Ruler

• Cutting Mat & Rotary Cutter (with new blade)

• Fabric pre-cut for class – see cutting instructions

•Erasable Fabric Marker (Frixon Pens work well)

• General sewing kit – scissors, pins, seam ripper, etc.

Kit Options:

-Pattern is required- $13

-Tucker Trimmer 1 ($30) is also required, but as some students may already own this, it is offered as an optional add on.

-A Quilter’s Magic Wand ($9) is suggested but not required.

Sewing Machines will be generously supplied by The Sew'N Place
