Sample Card Quilts

The ultimate "waste not/ want not"! What do you do with a bundle of coordinated fabric, all the same width but different length?  Let's make a quilt!, But what design?  This project takes a “sample card” of coordinated fabric used by fabric sales persons to show design lines.  This project takes a group of approximate 8 prints, recuts into strips blocks and rearranges into balanced finished wall  hanging or small quilt.  The aim of this class is to use every square inch of the swatch pack and leave only a few very narrow strings of fabric! This is a "Design As You Go" class where you will create your own easy and unique piece. 

Technique emphasis:  Accurate cutting a piecing and pleasing arranging of the pieces. Machine piecing.
