Quiltworx: Maple Leaf Flurries- NE Ohio

Do you have a Quiltworx quilt on your quilting bucket list? Cross this one off your list as Julie, a Quiltworx Certified Instructor -in-Training guides you through the process as you create a stunning wall hanging, 42" x 42" Maple Leaf Flurries. Together we will tackle template layout sheets, cutting and stacking techniques, registration points, and foundation paper piecing in this class. You will walk away with the confidence to dive into any Quiltworx pattern, not to mention the start to a beautiful wall hanging. Come to class with your own fabrics as outlined in the table below. Please have fabrics cut and labeled. Use page 2 of this handout to organize your fabrics. Julie will have foundation papers prepped prior to class to save valuable class time along with a practice sample block for you to work on.

Class Supplies

• Maple Leaf Flurries Pattern and Foundations – $30 pattern fee paid with your registration

• Add-A-Quarter Ruler and Sharpie Ultra-Fine marker

• Fabric for class – Please come to class with fabric cut into strips and LABELED per the table above.

• A 6”x 12” Ruler, Cutting Mat & Rotary Cutter (with new blade)

• Scotch Repositionable Glue Stick (optional) and at least 30 large standard paper clips

• Sewing machine, thread, and bobbins provided

• General sewing kit – scissors, pins, seam ripper, machine needles, extension cord, comfy cushion for your chair, chocolate, etc.
