Crackers- A Quiltworx Pattern-2 Ways!

Do you have a layer cake that you do not know what to do with? This quilt is the perfect quilt to using 10” squares and to make it even bigger, you can use another fabric for the sashing and cornerstones. These quilts are made with just 1 layer cake (40 or 42-10inch squares). This is a fun quilt that is a perfect introduction to Quiltworx and Judy Niemeyer’s techniques for paper piecing. No need to  prep fabrics prior to class, just bring 1 layer cake (40 or 42 10”squares). The kits provided will have squares ready for you to practice with before you jump into your colorway. This class will give you the confidence to pursue working on more challenging patterns. The pattern included is enough to make 2 of these quilts. 40 -10inch squares will make 30”x48” without sashing and borders. 42 -10inch squares will make 36” x 42” without sashing and borders. These make great baby quilt, veterans quilts or donation quilts.

Kit Fee: $30- includes a few fabrics and pattern- kit is required and will be added to your class ticket price below. 

Supplies Needed:

*Sewing Machine

• A layer cake or (42) 10 inch squares

• Add-A-Quarter Ruler-12”

•Scotch Repositionable Glue Stick and large paper clips

•Sewline Glue Pen (optional)

•A 6”x 12” Ruler ( or 4”x 12” for trimming ), Cutting Mat & Rotary Cutter (with new blade)

• thread and bobbins

• General sewing kit –scissors, pins, seam ripper, machine needles, extension cord, comfy cushion for your chair, pen and paper, chocolate, etc.
