Paper Piecing 101

Join Laura to learn the basics of paper piecing. Students will complete one block of Carol Doak's  Star pattern.  Learn the basics of paper-piecing with this fun project . Beginners leap into quilting and create your first paper-pieced quilt with thorough instructions and guided visuals to help achieve a perfect, accurate block. Create your own wall quilt by sewing blocks that can be completed in 3 simple steps! Class will focus on the basic principals of paper piecing and will complete one Star pattern block. 

Kit is included in class price.

Kits will include papers, fabric for one star block, a paper piecing tool  (Add a Quarter ruler), a glue stick and plastic template. 

Additional supply list:

-rotary cutter and small mat  

-pins

-snips or  scissors for thread

-pressing pad and small  iron 

-4  1/2" square ruler (or larger).  

- a spool of neutral thread.
