This is Not your Grandmother's Wholecloth!

Ever contemplate creating a wholecloth, but not into the feathers?  Join Patricia for a whole new take on wholecloth designs with nary a feather in sight.  Using just a single template (aka ruler) and different movement techniques, you can create a small wholecloth with stunning effects.  You’ll learn how to use the same templates to create crosshatching that will change the whole design.  I’ll show techniques for creating the border using the same template.  You’ll have a choice of 1 of three different templates.

NO KIT FEE! (Quilter’s Rule provides the templates for use in class)

Supplies needed:

-2-3 fabric sandwiches 14” x 22-24” for practice. (please do not pin baste sandwiches nor use thick batting)  Using plain fabrics will let you see the quilting patterns better than “busy” fabrics

-1 fabric sandwich about 30 x 30 this will be for the final piece

-Contrasting thread to the fabric sandwiches

-8 point stencil grid or rulers for marking guidelines

-Notebook or artbook (colored pencils might be nice, but not necessary)

Supplies suggested but not necessary:

-A slider to use on the machine table (super slider or Sew Slip)

-Quilting Gloves
