Learn the tips and techniques to make your tiny foundation piecing spectacular!
In this three hour course, students will learn techniques for miniature foundation piecing. Students will make a 2” block (approximately 1/4” logs ) in class.
Kaye Koler has won awards for her miniature quilting in Houston, Paducah, NQA and best of show at the International Quilt Festival in Ireland.
Learn the foundation piecing techniques to create this tiny (12x12!) log cabin quilt.
Required kit/pattern must be prepaid- $30 kit fee included in your ticket below.
Supply List:
-Basic sewing & favorite supplies/tools
-Scraps in light, mediums, and darks. Backing and binding fabric. **important** these should be small scale prints.
-Add-a-quarter ruler, post card, (or insert from a magazine for subscriptions)
- Rotary cutter and mat.
- Little iron (& mat), such as CLOVER (that has the small triangular shape heating element), or small travel size iron. Or wood finger presser.
-Optional light box.
-Scissors and basic sewing supplies.
-Neutral thread that is a thinner weight. Aurifil 50 wt. is my personal fav....
Sewing Machines will be generously provided by Bernina/ Hinkletown Sewing Center
