Intermediate Fabric Portraiture (VT)

Join renowned portrait quilt artist, Jack Edson for a more advanced class on fabric portrait. 

This class continues the principles taught in the Introduction class, but can be taken independently by students with advanced sewing and quilting skills.

The class will expand on the use of the grid in creating a portrait, emphasize various techniques of sewing curved shapes, explain ways to depict skin colors, and introduce using simple quilt block patterns in a portrait.

*This class can be taken as a stand-alone class, or you can continue the skills of the morning Intro class to build on that project. 

No Kit Fee

Supplies needed:

Basic sewing tools, rotary cutter and mat, needle, thread, scissors, a variety of small pieces of various color fabrics.  Students are encouraged to bring extra small pieces of color fabric to share.

Sewing Machines will be generously provided for students by A Quilter's Garden
