Time & Location
Jul 23, 2026, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Ashland University, 401 College Ave, Ashland, OH 44805, USA
About the event
Students will learn how to create prints using Cyanotype fabrics in different tones using UV lights and explore ways to personalize the fabrics for future projects. Cyanotypes are one of the first forms of sun-print photography and, in my opinion, the most magical. Cyanotypes ask us to pause and look closer at those everyday things differently and up close, capturing those finite little details.
This course will cover:
-The History & basics of Cyanotypes
-How to use basic set ups for indoor and outdoor photography without a darkroom.
-Fun ways to document old photos or garden plants using Cyanotypes.
Kit fee: $20 and includes 6 pieces of fabric, 2 precoated papers, 4” embroidery hoop * Kit fee has been added to your ticket price below
Supplies Needed:
Apron, scissors, 2 plastic grocery bags or gallon freezer bags.
