Pumpkins on Parade-Frustration Free Piecing-NE Ohio

We will break down the different units in the Leaf Block and Variable Star Block to assemble the quilt, focusing on piecing accuracy. We will be using the Studio 180 Wing Clipper I and II and Tucker Trimmer I and II Rulers  to learn three different techniques, plus a bonus Quarter Square Triangle block

 

Required Materials

•Pumpkins on Parade Quilt Pattern 

•Pumpkins on Parade kit (includes pattern)  requirements listed on pattern

•Basic quilting supplies:

- scissors

- seam ripper

-sewing pins

-rotary cutter and mat

-rulers for cutting and squaring

-iron and ironing board

-Pen or marking tool for making lines on fabric

Studio 180 Rulers

-Studio 180 Wing Clipper I and Wing Clipper II Rulers

 -Studio 180 Tucker Trimmer I and Tucker Trimmer II Rulers

Class Prework

At a minimum, please have the Leaf Blocks (Row 1) and Variable Star Blocks (row 2) cut out and sorted per directions.

Sewing Machines will be generously provided for students from Bernina/ Chestnut Ridge Sewing

 Irons, Rotary cutters and mats will be provided.
