[SOLD OUT] Freemotion Quilt As You Go: Log Cabin (PA)

Did you know you can piece and quilt on the BERNINA Q Series machine?! Have you always wanted to free-motion quilt but were too anxious to do so? Have you wanted to get your feet wet using a ruler on your quilting projects? Join Sarah in this hands-on workshop and be liberated with straight line ruler work and free-motion quilting! With a bit of humor and a lot of encouragement, she will take you through a series of designs to build up your own edge-to-edge patterns that are both simple yet highly effective on your quilt tops and perfect for your quilts' smaller borders and sashing. You will also learn the basics of quilting ruler use and piece a log cabin mini quilt top on the machine and finish with quilting in different FMQ designs. By the end of the workshop, you will feel more comfortable and brave with a variety of shapes and motifs and have a fantastic mini quilt. One student per machine: BERNINA Q Series machines provided. The BERNINA Q-Series are sit down longarm machines. They will be provided by BERNINA/ Hinkletown Sewing Center. The Q-series machines are technically "longarm" machines placed onto a stationary tabletop; therefore, this class is ideal for the domestic machine quilter, midarm quilter, and standup longarm quilter.
